Welcome to
Literary
Lots
What is literary lots?
Literary Lots brings magic and the power of imagination to urban kids by turning vacant, underutilized spaces into scenes from children's books. By working with cultural institutions and local non-profits, Literary Lots will not only bring engaging programming to neighborhood kids, but will also provide a transformative experience that combines creative land re-use, artist engagement, youth education, and urban renewal to be enjoyed by all.
Besides, what could be more inspiring than by taking a stroll through a book on a beautiful summer day?

The 2019 book
Inspiration
In 2019, the Literary Lots is inspired by the book The Wild Robot. In this book, Technology and artificial intelligence in the form of a robot force a group of island animals to reexamine identities, friendships and their community.
The Wild Robot makes us think about what it means to be alive, adaptable, forgiving and most important, to be connected to one another.
Come explore this book as we use it to inspire, art, writing workshops, music and mural painting - all free for the community - this summer.
